I have had many sellers over the last few years ask me if they should hold off on offers to a specific date. Reviewing offers on one date can be a double edge sword. It can be successful but it doesn't always work.

You allow showings to as many possible buyers who may not be able to view the property immediately.
If you are lucky enough to have multiple offers, generally buyers will come in with their best foot forward and realize negotiating may not be an option.
